Mineral make-up was definitely a hype a few years ago and I remember I didn’t use anything else then mineral foundation as it would be more natural than most other foundations and it wouldn’t blocking my pores and skin. Bare Minerals is well known for its innovative products that are powered by nourishing, skin-loving minerals. Mineral foundations can be beneficial for problematic and oilier skin as it is more natural than most foundations and won’t clog the pores and skin. However, mineral make-up seemed to disappeared a bit with all amazing advancements from the last years providing lightweight foundations that provide the coverage we need. But lately I have been suffering from blemishes and a shiny T-zone, so I decided to give the Bare Minerals Blemish Remedy Foundation a try.
The Bare Minerals Blemish Remedy Foundation came out last year and is a weightless, medium-to-full coverage build-able mineral-powered foundation that diminishes the appearance of imperfections, skin redness and shine for a more healthy-looking complexion. It’s formulated with aspen bark and tea tree oil to help promote clearer, healthier-looking skin and the inclusion of Aloe helps to soothe and hydrate the skin. Other ingredients are: Lauroyl Lysine, Silica, Salicylic Acid, Populus Tremuloides Bark Extract, Soil Minerals, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Melaleuca Alternifolia (tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Litchi Chinensis Fruit Extract, Oryza Sativa (rice ) Extract, Disodium EDTA, Limonene, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Dehydroacetate, Sorbic Acid, May contain (+/-) : Mica, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499).
The Bare Minerals Blemish Remedy Foundation is available in the shades: Clearly Porcelain – for the fairest porcelain skin with cool tones, Clearly Pearl – for light skin with neutral tones, Clearly Cream – for light skin with golden tones, Clearly Medium – for medium skin with cool tones, Clearly Beige – for medium skin with neutral-to-golden tones, Clearly Nude – for medium skin with golden tones, Clearly Latte – for tan skin with cool tones, Clearly Sand – for tan skin with neutral tones, Clearly Amber – for tan-to-dark skin with golden tones, Clearly Almond – for dark skin with neutral tones and Clearly Espresso – for deep skin with neutral tones.
I really, really like this foundation! Not only comes it in a very beautiful package which I absolutely adore, it also makes it very easy to apply the right amount of powder when you press your brush onto it. The powder is very finely-milled, super easy to blend and build up, and has a really good pigmentation. And the best part: it’s super matte! For me this is the perfect foundation since it’s almost undetectable on the skin, yet covers up my blemishes, redness and gives that matte, flawless finish that I’m looking for while it’s really light-weighted. But I definitely would’t say this is a full-coverage product, not even if you build up several layers of foundation, so if that’s what you are looking for in a foundation this might not be it for you. It doesn’t really last all day, but a touch-up after an hour or five/six does the trick very well.
Which foundation do you use at the moment?
